Information folders are available for all guests, and an excellent local map will be provided on request. We have given our own views of many of the best restaurants. Helen has a wide experience of working with local tour companies and can advise you on the best places to visit. There are contact numbers, and guests can make local calls at no charge to make reservations or arrange tours.

If you have not been to Marrakech before we would recommend that you hire a guide to show you the sites of interest. A guide can show you the parts of the medina in Marrakech that you may never find when wandering alone. They have extensive knowledge of the city including its colourful history. Once you have become familiarized it's better to explore by yourself

Guides cost approximately £12.50 for a half day, and £22 for a full day. All official guides have to be qualified.

As of this moment the current exchange rate is approximately £1 = 16 Moroccan Dirhams

Breakfast is included in the price for all rooms. Our excellent cook Saida will prepare lunch or dinner. Please see our menu below. We provide both Western and traditional Moroccan dishes. A few hours notice is required for those that wish to eat dinner and a variety of vegetarian options are always available.

Part of the appreciation of the real Moroccan way of life is to visit a traditional Hammam where you can experience a relaxing massage using black soap as an abrasive. This is both relaxing and invigorating at the same time. For those that wish to experience this in the comfort and privacy of the riad we can arrange for a masseur/beautician to attend. He or she will give you a manicure, pedicure, facial or massage.

Tips are always optional, but if you have enjoyed your stay and have appreciated the service we hope that you will tip our staff.

Both of our English managers, Sarah and Helen, speak fluent French and can help if you are experiencing problems with communication. They have been managing riads in Marrakech for a number of years and have a wide experience of all of the problems that can occasionally occur. There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to communicate.
