Les Trois Mages (The Three Kings) is located in the heart of the historical quarter of Riad Laarouss, a short walk from the famous Jemaa El Fna square.
Unusually for the medina, a taxi from the airport can transport you to within twenty feet of the front door where you will be welcomed by Laura or Aidan our English managers. The riad is an invitation to experience the hustle and bustle of the medina, whilst being able to retreat to a place of comfort and tranquility.
The decoration incorporates the savoir faire of the best Moroccan craftsmen using tadelekt, a mixture of plaster and savon noire that is then polished to give a luxurious and traditional feel throughout the riad. The furnishings are commissioned to the highest standard, with a mixture of traditional artifacts, rich opulent fabrics and sumptuous carpets integrated with a touch of western know how to make your stay unforgettable.
For the sun worshippers among you there are loungers placed around the heated pool on the terrace. Subtle lighting creates an intimate atmosphere to while away the evenings. There is also the added attraction of the romantic tent with its flowing curtains and silk cushions. Here you can get some shade during the day and lounge at leisure with a drink at night under the stars.
The Riad has three lounges. The blue lounge, adjoining the courtyard, is a tranquil and relaxing space to sip mint tea or a glass of wine, while listening to the grand piano. The main sitting room has comfortable informal seating for twelve arranged around a beautiful fireplace that is lit during the winter months. This spacious room, containing Hi-Fi and a variety of English books and games for all ages, is cloistered around the central courtyard. The Bou is on the first floor. Here you can relax and quietly read a book or two.
There are five bedrooms and one suite. All have air conditioning, heating and full en suite facilities. The suite even has its own fireplace and lounge together with a traditional Hammam style bath.
"This Riad should be ranked in the top 10 on the Trip Advisor. It is positively charming, has a wonderful staff and management, is comfortable, and provides fabulous breakfast...in fact, we stayed in another Riad during our trip to Marrakech, which IS ranked in the top 10, and the Les Trois Mages stands heads and shoulders above the former...Whoever decorated this Riad has an eye for charm and style (to which website photos do not do justice). Overall, the staff was outstanding and made us feel very welcome and cared for during the four nights we were there. In short, excellent value and a great place to stay in Marrakech."

"The riad is extremely clean and comfortable and we were thrilled with the legendary Saida's home cooking and sense of fun. (It's great fun communicating in pigeon French and English.) We had the foresight to book lunch for our arrival, which was taken on the sunny terrace. Then later dinner in the cosy furnished firelight of the salon.
Breakfast was varied and tasty too every day...perfect! All in all a wonderful stay and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone!."

"Just returned home after a three night stay at Riad Les Trois Mages and feel compelled to recommend this wonderful place to others. The city is a complete assault on your senses and can leave you feeling drained so the RLTM's peace & calm is the perfect antidote to the 'chaos' outside. Aidan, Saida & all the staff are hospitable to a fault and genuinely cannot do enough for you. In fact, we felt more like welcome houseguests than residents. The rooms are wonderfully furnished and really do add a touch of luxury to Marrakech after a tiring day in the heart of a vibrant city. Finally, we tried several of the 'highly recommended' restaurants from our guidebook and indeed (generally) were left distinctly under whelmed by the quality of most of the food out side the Riad. However, our best meal (by far) was the beautiful Moroccan food that Saida prepared for us on the Riad's roof top terrace!"

Saida, our full time cook, has been trained in France to gourmet standards. Her repertoire includes traditional Moroccan fare and she can conjure up the very best international cuisine (for those who would like a break from tajines and cous cous!).
Meals are provided in the dining room or on the terrace where you can relax by the pool. By prior arrangement breakfast can be provided in your room.
For those people who might be interested in a small pied a terre in Essaouira. One of our managers, Aidan, has a one bedroom apartment for rent at very reasonable rates.
